The National Adult Day Services Association suggests caregivers look into daycare centers when they start noticing the following signs in their elderly loved ones.
1. Not able to plan or structure their own daily activities.
2. Are feeling lonely or isolated?
3. Do they experience anxiety or depression and need additional social and emotional support?
4. Are they having trouble staying focused or starting a new activity?
5. If they don’t seem to be safe on his or her own.
Family caregivers might consider using adult day services if you need to work away from home for part of the day, need to run errands, or are feeling overwhelmed by all of the caregiving duties.
Alba Court Adult Day Care Center is unique in that it is focused on developing social skills, providing personal care, strengthening and improving mental and physical health. We will offer a great variety of activities to meet the individual choices of our residents.
