Assisted Living FAQ

Nursing home is a medical model and residents living there need 24-hour medical care.  The staff at the nursing home includes doctors and nurses.  It is very expensive costing about $600/day.  Assisted living is a home model, no nurses, no medical care is provided, assistance with activities of daily living (7 in total)

When the individual is not able to care for herself/himself, is not able to go out alone, and the health is failing. 

Like living at home, with privacy, lots of activities, healthy food and exercise and staff around to assist with all your needs

There are dining hours.  However, you can take the food to your room if you do not want to eat at the specified time.

24-hour.  There will be staff around the clock to answer any calls from residents.  If requested staff will check on residents every 2 hours at night.

Yes, a one year lease.

Prefer that residents bring their own thus making it more home-like.  If the resident does not have furniture the facility will provide some basic items like a bed, night table, a chair, and a night lamp. 

We avoid residents bringing to many items from home and creating a place where accidents occur often given the clutter.  Furniture must be free of infestation as well as linens, towels, pillows.

Yes, but some requirements.  Vaccination, pet deposit and a statement from a doctor that you need that pet.  No dogs over 30 pounds

Yes, a key to the car must be provided to the administration.  Need to negotiate a parking space

No smoking inside the building only in designated areas

It is your decision.  We will respect that.

We will arrange for transportation.  Eventually, we may have a van for that purpose.

As often as you wish! We only ask that you sign in each visit, and that you sign your loved one out if you leave the community.

COVID-19 Visitation Policy

In the event of two or more positive COVID-19 cases within our community, our guidelines for guests look a little different. It is important that our residents are still able to visit with family and friends, so please follow the procedure listed below in order to protect yourself and those around you.

  • Visiting Hours: 9am-5pm
  • All visits to the community must be scheduled via phone or email prior to your arrival.
  • No more than 2 guests per resident at a time.
  • All guests must complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire upon arrival.
  • Any third party person providing care to residents must wear a mask at all times and complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior to meeting with any residents.

Memory Care FAQ

Specialized units for individuals suffering from Alzheimers   Includes secured units, own dining area, activities designed to improve memory.

When the individual is not able to care for herself/himself, is not able to go out alone, and the health is failing.

Respite Care FAQ

Respite care for the elderly is a short-term stay at a senior living community. It is often suggested for seniors who are recovering from a hospital visit or other health circumstance. It’s also available when a caregiver takes an extended vacation or for a senior living trial period. Depending on the community, our respite care services are available for a variety of care levels, including assisted living and memory care

$125/day

Medicaid pays $60

There is no minimum or maximum stay.

Breakfast, lunch, activities, supervision of medication and assistance with activities of daily living.

Administrator, resident care director, certified nursing assistants, medication technicians.

Adult Day Care FAQ

It is for individuals who are at home and need supervision and activities during the day five days a week.

Some insurance does.  Also, the Medicaid waiver does.

If you provide us permission to use or disclose health information about you, you may revoke that permission, in writing, at any time. If you revoke your permission, we will no longer use or disclose health information about you for the reasons covered by your written authorization. You understand that we are unable to take back any disclosures we have already made with your permission, and that we are required to retain our files of the care that we provided to you.
